I have found that one of the harder parts of working with rescue birds is the need for medication and other health care assistance. Kind of like being a parent, you do what has to be done. That information doesn't make it any easier when you have a bird that has to be restrained to be medicated. You know it is for their benefit but that doesn't mean that they know it. I think I have tried at least 100 ways to give birds medicine. Some have ended with the bird, me and the entire area covered in sticky goo. Which can also mean a call to the vet to replace the medicine that I am now wearing. What methods have worked for you? I'm game to try anything new to make sure every bird gets what they need.
